Born on May 15th in Mitsushima Village, Higashimatsuura District, Saga Prefecture (now part of Karatsu City).

小倉工業学校機械科に入学
Entered the Mechanical Engineering Course at Kokura Technical School.
　
1910年 （明治43年） 19歳
小倉工業学校機械科を卒業。八幡製鉄所に入所
Graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Course at Kokura Technical School, and joined the Yahata Steel Works.
　
1911年 （明治44年） 20歳
兵役のため、2年間入営
Served in the military for two years.
　
1913年 （大正2年） 22歳
早稲田大学高等予科に入学後、電気学科に進む
After enrolling in the Waseda University Preparatory School, advanced to the Department of Electrical Engineering.
　
1915年 （大正4年） 24歳
早稲田大学理工学部建築学科へ転科
Transferred to the Department of Architecture, School of Science and Engineering, Waseda University.
　
1918年 （大正7年） 27歳
早稲田大学理工学部建築学科卒業（卒業制作「マシン・ショップ」）。渡邊建築事務所入所
Graduated from the Department of Architecture, School of Science and Engineering. His graduation project was “Machine Shop”. Joined the Watanabe Architectural Office.
　
1919年 （大正8年） 28歳
論文「様式の上にあれ」（『日本建築協会雑誌』に発表）
Published the paper “Yoshiki no Ueniare" (be above style) in the Journal of the Architectural Institute of Japan.
　
1920年 （大正9年） 29歳
渡邊節の命により、日本興業銀行の設計準備のため渡米
At the direction of Setsu Watanabe, traveled to the United States to study American architectural styles in preparation for the design of the Industrial Bank of Japan.
　
1923年 （大正12年） 32歳
渡邊建築事務所在職中に日本興業銀行本店、大阪ビル、横浜正金銀行大阪支店、日本勧業銀行、綿業会館などを担当
In charge of projects including the Head Office of the Industrial Bank of Japan, the Osaka Building, the Osaka Branch of the Yokohama Specie Bank, the Nippon Kangyo Bank, and the Cotton Industry Hall while working at the Watanabe Architectural Office.
　
1929年 （昭和4年） 38歳
渡邊建築事務所退所。村野建築事務所を大阪に開設
Left the Watanabe Architectural Office and established the Murano Architectural Office in Osaka.
　
1930年 （昭和5年） 39歳
建築研究のためヨーロッパとアメリカへ外遊
Traveled to Europe and the United States for architectural research.
　
1931年 （昭和6年） 40歳
事務所開設後の初作品「森五商店東京支店」が竣工
Completed his first work, the Morigo Shoten Tokyo Branch, after opening his office.
　
1935年 （昭和10年） 44歳
ドイツ政府から赤十字名誉賞受賞（ドイツ文化研究所）
Received the Honorary Red Cross Award from the German government (German Cultural Research Institute).
　
1939年 （昭和14年） 48歳
大阪商船「あるぜんちな丸」（1939竣工）、「ぶらじる丸」（1939竣工）などの船舶内装を手がける
Designed the marine interior for Osaka Shosen's the Argentina Maru (completed in 1939) and the Brazil Maru (completed in 1939).
　
1949年 （昭和24年） 58歳
村野、森建築事務所と改称
Renamed the firm to T. Murano & Mori Associated Architects Office.
　
1953年 （昭和28年） 62歳
日本芸術院賞受賞。大阪府芸術賞受賞。建築研究のためアメリカとヨーロッパへ外遊
Received the Japan Art Academy Prize. Received the Osaka Prefectural Arts Award. Traveled to the United States and Europe for architectural research.
　
1954年 （昭和29年） 63歳
1953年度日本建築学会賞受賞（丸栄百貨店）
Received the 1953 Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) Award (Maruei Department Store).

Appointed President of the Japan Institute of Architects; received the 3rd BCS Award (Textile Exporters' Center); traveled to the United States for architectural research.
　
1963年 （昭和38年） 72歳
王立イギリス建築家協会名誉会員となる。中央建築士審議会会員となる。1962年建築年鑑賞受賞（早稲田大学文学部）
Became an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA); appointed a member of the Central Architects Council; received the 1962 Architectural Yearbook Award (Waseda University, Faculty of Literature).
　
1964年 （昭和39年） 73歳
第5回BCS賞受賞（尼崎市庁舎）
Received the 5th BCS Award (Amagasaki City Hall).
　
1965年 （昭和40年） 74歳
1964年度日本建築学会賞受賞（日本生命日比谷ビル）
Received the 1964 Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) Award (Nissay Hibiya Building / Nissay Theatre).

Awarded the Knight of the Order of St. Gregory the Great by the Vatican, in recognition of his contributions to the design of Catholic churches such as the Memorial Cathedral for World Peace and the Nishinomiya Trappistine Convent; became an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

1971年度日本建築学会大賞受賞（長年にわたる優秀な建築の創作活動による建築界への貢献）。第13回BCS賞受賞（箱根樹木園休息所）
Received the 1971 AIJ Grand Prize for long-standing contributions to the architectural field through outstanding creative work; received the 13th BCS Award (Hakone Jumokuen Rest Pavilion).

早稲田大学より名誉博士の称号を授与
Conferred the title of Honorary Doctor by Waseda University.

迎賓館赤坂離宮改修に対し、総理大臣、建設大臣より感謝状を授与
Received letters of appreciation from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Construction for the renovation of the State Guest House, Akasaka Palace.

第16回BCS賞受賞（日本興業銀行本店）
Received the 16th BCS Award (Industrial Bank of Japan Head Office).
　
1976年 （昭和51年） 85歳
皇室より御紋章入り銀盃壱組下賜（常陸宮邸）。第17回BCS賞受賞（西山記念会館）
Presented with a set of silver cups bearing the chrysanthemum crest by the Imperial Household (Prince Hitachinomiya Residence); received the 17th BCS Award (Nishiyama Memorial Hall).
　
1977年 （昭和52年） 86歳
毎日芸術賞受賞（小山敬三美術館）
Received the Mainichi Art Award (Koyama Keizo Museum of Art).
　
1980年 （昭和55年） 89歳
西宮トラピスチヌ修道院でカトリックの洗礼を受ける（洗礼名アッシジのフランシスコ）。第6回明治村賞受賞（迎賓館赤坂離宮改修）。第21回BCS賞受賞（箱根プリンスホテル）
Baptized into the Catholic Church at the Nishinomiya Trappistine Convent (baptismal name: Francis of Assisi); received the 6th Meijimura Award (for the renovation of the State Guest House, Akasaka Palace); received the 21st BCS Award (Hakone Prince Hotel).
　
1984年 （昭和59年） 93歳
第25回BCS賞受賞（新高輪プリンスホテル）。11月26日、心筋梗塞のため宝塚の自宅にて逝去。
Received the 25th BCS Award (Shin Takanawa Prince Hotel); passed away on November 26.
